Get To Know Me
I am a family man, married to my wife Kathy, whom I adore, for eleven years. I have three daughters Samantha, 24; Chelsea, 21; and Alicia, 18. Raising these three amazing young ladies and watching them mature into the fine adults they are today, has been a pleasure beyond words.
A farm boy at heart, I studied animal science and business accounting at Chico State for four years but left that field to pursue a carrier as a building and real estate professional. I have been a successful general contractor in Carson Valley for more than 25 years. During that time I have built over 200 custom and semi-custom homes.
In 2009 I receive my LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Accredited Professional designation from the U.S. Green Building Council. In 2010 I received the designation “Professional Green Builder” from the National Association of Home Builders.
My passion is Global Christian Missions. I am on the Board of Directors for Point of Hope Missions based in Incline Village, Nevada. It is our goal to provide quality education to the children of the most poverty stricken areas of the world, raising up leaders from among them who can face and overcome the challenges facing their communities. My work in this area has been focused in the Mukuru Kwa Njenga slum of Nairobi, Kenya. It is my prayer to be able to return to Kenya at least once a year as long as the need remains.
I am a founding member of the Sierra Nevada Community Land Trust www.snclt.org, a non-profit organization based in Carson Valley, dedicated to providing affordable home ownership opportunities to the hard working people of our community.
